St. Cousair Oregon Orchards, Inc. is a subsidary of St. Cousair Co, Ltd., a gourmet food and beverage manufacturer in Nagano, Japan. A family-owned business, which started with a jar of homemade jam, St. Cousair is based in the town of Iizuna, where it runs a winery, a restaurant, a shop and a jam and sauce factory. St. Cousair also operates over one-hundred specialty retail stores throughout Japan, under the brand names St. Cousair and Kuze Fuku & Co.
St. Cousair's products are focused primarily on jams, sauces, wines and other types of food commonly associated with western European cuisine. Kuze Fuku & Co. specializes in traditional Japanese cuisine, particularly the lesser known, almost forgotten recipes of yesteryear from the Japanese countryside. Both St. Cousair and Kuze Fuku & Co. are popular among shoppers interested in fine food and beverages. The winery and restaurant in Iizuna attracts thousands of tourists annually, offering a pleasing culinary experience in a delightful mountain setting.
In April of 2017, St. Cousair Co, Ltd. acquired Berry Noir Co-Packing, a food and beverage production and distribution facility in Newberg, Oregon. Berry Noir had operated primarily as a private label producer of food and beverages since 1982, and manufactured for numerous American and international retail chains. Renamed St. Cousair Oregon Orchards, the new organization retained the existing staff and continues to produce private label foods and beverages as before, while at the same time opening opportunities for importing and exporting food and beverages between Japan and the US.
